Washington Spirit midfielder Rose Lavelle has been named to Jill Ellis’ 25-player U.S. Women’s National Team training camp roster ahead of the 2018 Tournament of Nations.

The training camp roster will gather on July 20 before opening the tournament against Japan on July 26 at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas (7 p.m. ET on FS1). Ellis will name a 23-player final roster prior to the start of the four-team tournament, which will also include games against Australia on July 29 in East Hartford, Conn. (7 p.m. ET on FS1) and against Brazil on Aug. 2 in Bridgeview, Ill. (8:30 p.m. ET on FS1).

Lavelle enters the Tournament of Nations with eight international caps and two goals. In a breakout 2017 campaign with the U.S. Women’s National Team, Lavelle made her debut for the senior U.S. team on March 4, 2017, starting and playing the full 90 minutes against England.

Lavelle scored her first international goal on April 9, 2017 against Russia and tallied her second international goal less than two months later on June 8 against Sweden, the game-winner of the contest.

Lavelle last played for the team on June 12 of this year against China PR, appearing as a second half substitute in the 65th minute in Cleveland, Ohio.
