After teaming up on a trio of goals over the weekend, two members of the No. 7 UCF women's soccer team were recognized by the American Athletic Conference on Monday. Senior Bridget Callahan was named The American Offensive Player of the Week, while junior Carrie Lawrence earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Callahan bagged a goal in each match this weekend. The senior midfielder posted back-to-back scoring games for the first time this season, and added an assist in the UCF win over Temple on Sunday. The Hollywood, Fla., native has now matched her career best with three goals on the season.

Lawrence finished the weekend with four points, while helping UCF extend its unbeaten streak to 13 matches. In Thursday's 2-0 win over UConn, she recorded the assist on UCF's second goal off a corner kick. On Sunday, the Orlando native added a second assist on a corner, and recorded her first GWG with the Knights.

Callahan earned the second league honor of her career after being tabbed as Defensive Player of the Week in 2015. Lawrence earned her first career weekly honor.

Monday's accolades mark the fourth time this season that at least two Knights have been recognized by the league. UCF has collected five Offensive Player of the Weeks and four Rookie of the Weeks to go along with a pair of Defensive Players of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week.

The Knights close out the regular season against USF on Oct. 27. UCF welcomes the Bulls to the UCF Soccer Complex for the War on I4 contest at 7 p.m. In addition to six points in the rivalry series, UCF and USF will play for The American regular season title.
