Welcome to Orlando! If you're here for an Orlando Pride or Orlando City Soccer Club game, we are glad you came. As you probably know, Orlando is known for its concrete jungle of amazing theme parks, but did you know that Orlando has a lot more to offer than just magical fictional characters? That’s right! If you are in town to catch one of our amazing Orlando soccer games and you want some different and unique to do, then you have come to the right spot. We have compiled a list of places to visit and things to do that will get you feeling like a local in no time!
Orlando is organized in a way that there are very distinct sections of town that are miles away from one another: the theme parks, downtown, and residential areas. We want to make sure that everyone that is coming in town for a game knows that Orlando is more than just theme parks. We have provided recommendations of things to do in each one of those areas so that no matter where you’re staying, you’ll have a truly Orlando experience.
- Traveling with kids? No problem! The Orlando Science Center is a great destination for a day of family fun. OSC offers a variety of exhibit halls that will appeal to all ages. You can even catch a show in the Dr. Phillips CineDome which is an 8,000 square foot screen that projects the film through a fisheye lens. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss out on.
- If adventure is what you are after, then you can try one of Orlando’s escape rooms. A little farther from the downtown Orlando area, America’s Escape Game is located on International Drive, and it will certainly get your adrenaline pumping. With five escape rooms to choose from, you and your family or friends can have a great time trying to get out of one of the hardest escape rooms in the United States!
- If you are here for a limited time with your group of friends and you want to have fun pre-game, then, of course, we recommend downtown Orlando for some of the best bars. Wall Street Plaza offers an excellent Happy Hour and great weekend block parties. With seven bars to choose from, your group is bound to find a bar that meets your pre-game style! And if you are feeling up for it, the Citrus Bowl is just under two miles from Wall Street so you can get some exercise before you go cheer on Orlando Pride!
Orlando offers a lot of great things to do whether you are here for the day or even for a weekend, and our locals are really stoked about the Orlando Pride club. If you are considering coming to a game, come check it out. All of our locals welcome guests with open arms! We can’t wait to cheer with you. #JoinThePride
