Kristen Edmonds Shows Versatility Against Her Former Team.  She has now played 3 different positions this season and has been catching eyes on the field.  Kristen walked away with a yellow card, but she won the fans’ hearts!  Let’s hear Kristen and Alex Morgan’s thoughts on the goal that gave us 3 three points this week.

Sarah Hagen got beat up during the first half and was subbed out before the beginning of the second for Lianne Sanderson to change up the formation.  Listen to Captain, Alex Morgan’s thoughts on the halftime change.

Jasmyn Spencer was getting fouled with no calls from the ref and she was very vocal about it.

NWSL Playoffs:

  • Single-Elimination Format

WHO QUALIFIES:

 The top four clubs in points from the League standings at the end of the regular season, qualify for the 2016 NWSL Playoffs.

  1. The two Semifinals will be decided by a single knockout game, the winner of which will advance to the Championship Game.
  2. The NWSL Championship will be a single championship match hosted at a pre-determined site.
  3. If the score is tied after 90 minutes of play in any playoff game, two 15-minute extra time periods will be played in their entirety, followed by kicks from the penalty mark, if necessary.
